Health Sensor Platform 4.0 (HSP 4.0)

Learn how a wearable chest patch design can provide you and your doctor clinical insights on your health and lead you toward actionable decisions. The HSP 4.0 is an open-sourced chest patch design that allows customers to get an out-of-the-box, functional, wearable design that will collect important vital signs information. This key information on the users’ general health will enable the customer to develop health detection algorithms and a complete, end-to-end healthcare solution.

Bicycle Power Meter

This bicycle power meter demo measures the power output by a person riding an exercise bike. The solution is a low power, wireless system comprising a MAX41400 instrumentation amplifier connected to strain gauges mounted to the bicycle’s crank arm. A MAX11108 ADC and a MCU communicate wirelessly with a tablet. The solution has a low-cost bill of materials and low power consumption for long battery life. The rider may also use a wrist-worn, ADI biometric sensor platform to stream data such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, and ECG to a PC GUI.

Don’t Sleep on It: Noncontact Health Monitoring System

Healthcare is increasingly moving outside of the hospital and into people’s homes and everyday lives. Therefore, devices must be compact, noninvasive, and seamlessly integrated. This demo shows a new system ADI is developing that uses accelerometer data from an ADXL355 to infer three vital signs of a sleeping subject: heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiration rate. The sensor module is placed on or inside the mattress or pillow and the vital signs are calculated and visually displayed in real time.
