AD6488 is a highly integrated Analog Front End (AFE) that continues the tradition of unparalleled integration, performance, and flexibility of the Eagle and Pathfinder family of CPE chipsets.

When coupled with Eagle or Pathfinder product families , this device performs all physical layer functions needed to implement standards-compliant Category 1 and Category 2 ADSL+ CPE modems. In addition it is qualified on the emerging ADSL2 standards now prominent in the industry.

Built to sustain high performance in dominant global network topologies and TR-048, UR-2 requirement standards, the AD6488 employs patented technology resulting in unprecedented component integration. ADI’s successful development methodologies offer the lowest component count ADSL modems in the market today or tomorrow.

By combining the line driver, receiver and line filtering components into the AFE, ADI has been able to reduce overall board component count dramatically, which translates to significant total cost savings.
