Handy for switching circuit paths between analog components, by a digital device. 16x16 crossbar. Actually any of the 32 analog lines can be an input or an output. The digital control is clocked in serially as 256 bits, representing the crossbar settings. Data are held as long as the chip is powered up. Ideal for Hybrid (analog-digital) prototyping. Devices are cascadable if 16x16 is not enough. The switches have a fairly low on-resistance. The PLCC-44 packaging is ideal for prototyping. I am not using these with very high frequency analog signals, but they should do ok up to video, probably not hi-rez. Nice product.

The AD75019 is a uniq device, because it is one of the only device that can do unbuffered +-24V. Also it is easy to switch.
