The AD8065/AD8066 FastFET™ amplifiers are voltage feedback amplifiers with FET inputs offering high performance and ease of use. The AD8065 is a single amplifier, and the AD8066 is a dual amplifier. These amplifiers are developed in the Analog Devices, Inc. proprietary XFCB process and allow exceptionally low noise operation (7.0 nV/√Hz and 0.6 fA/√Hz) as well as very high input impedance.

With a wide supply voltage range from 5 V to 24 V, the ability to operate on single supplies, and a bandwidth of 145 MHz, the AD8065/AD8066 are designed to work in a variety of applications. For added versatility, the amplifiers also contain rail-to-rail outputs.

Despite the low cost, the amplifiers provide excellent overall performance. The differential gain and phase errors of 0.02% and 0.02°, respectively, along with 0.1 dB flatness out to 7 MHz, make these amplifiers ideal for video applications. Additionally, they offer a high slew rate of 180 V/μs, excellent distortion (SFDR of −88 dBc @ 1 MHz), extremely high common-mode rejection of −100 dB, and a low input offset voltage of 1.5 mV maximum under warmed up conditions. The AD8065/AD8066 operate using only a 6.4 mA/amplifier typical supply current and are capable of delivering up to 30 mA of load current.

The AD8065/AD8066 are high performance, high speed, FET input amplifiers available in small packages: SOIC-8, MSOP-8, and SOT-23-5. They are rated to work over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.

This evaluation board is designed to help users evaluate the AD8066. The evaluation board is a bare board: there are no components or amplifiers soldered to the board. These parts must be obtained separately from the table below or on the product page. Free samples may also be requested. The unpopulated board enables users to quickly customize and prototype a variety of op amp circuits, which minimizes risk and reduces time to market.

The User Guide contains all the required documentation to build the board, including schematics, assembly drawing, and Bill of Materials.

Product Details

The EVAL-AD7928SDZ is a full featured evaluation board that allows the user to easily evaluate all the features of the AD7928 analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The evaluation board can be controlled by the

EVAL-SDP-CB1Z SDP board via a 120-way SDP connector (J102). The SDP board allows the evaluation board to be controlled through the USB port of a PC using the AD7928 evaluation software, which is available for download from the product page or from the installer CD included in the evaluation board kit.

On-board components include the following:

GBWP of this part is excellent for moderately fast signal applications (~ microsecond timescale). It is also fairly rugged in soldering temperature tolerance.

AD8066 excellent performance on audio line drivers
nice sounding , wide range of power supply and response in frecuency, rast recovery and fast resolution, noise is not a big deal if you are using in designs with no more of 20nVrootHz. we are current testing it in other designs.

Good product
AD8066 meets our requirements on both low leakage current and higher bandwidth. It will be better if Vcc can be expanded to +-15V.

This product met our needs entirely.
A word of explanation: The amplifier was used in the generator supplying two sinusoidal waveforms of amplitude 0-8V and adjustable phase shift 0-180 deg. It was critical that the amplifier can provide adequate signal quality for required signal amplitude and be powered from +/- 12V power supply. AD8066 entirely met our requirements. The reliability field was set to 'excellent', but in reality we don't have long term data -- HALT tests were not conducted on the product.
