Analog Devices Ranked Among World’s Most Sustainable Corporations

Mar 2 2017 - Norwood, MA
  • Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) has been selected as one of the world’s top 100 sustainable corporations. Only three other companies from the semiconductor and semiconductor equipment sector were named to the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World index this year.

As a responsible global partner, Analog Devices has remained dedicated throughout its more than 50-year history to aligning its business goals with a commitment to sustainability along four axes – economic, environmental, social, and governance and ethics. This commitment to continuous improvement is evident through a range of initiatives, including an increase in nonhazardous material recycling rate from 38% in 2010 to 61% in 2015; a $6 million investment in employee tuition reimbursement, continuing-education training programs and seminars; a matching employee charitable gift program; and support and sponsorship of FIRST Robotics, a non-profit public charity that designs innovative programs for young people to pursue STEM education and career opportunities. Other examples of ADI’s sustainability efforts can be found in the ADI Sustainability Report 2014-2015.

The Global 100 index was established in 2005 by the Canadian media and investment research firm Corporate Knights, Inc. to evaluate corporations on quantitative indicators related to sustainability. Corporate Knights’ detailed scoring methodology employs a range of key performance indicators (KPI’s) to determine overall sustainability rankings including carbon intensity, the conservation of energy, water and other natural resources, innovation capacity, employee health & safety performance, leadership diversity, pension fund status and corporate tax contributions, among other metrics.
