10BASE-T1S E2B™ Remote Control Protocol (RCP)

The 10BASE-T1S Ethernet to Edge Bus (E2B) Remote Control Protocol Products from Analog Devices, Inc., provides a low complexity, high flexible edge node implementation for automotive applications. By eliminating the need for microcontrollers at the edge nodes, our 10BASE-T1S E2B RCP solution enables the centralization of all software to help enable next-gen zonal architectures and software-defined vehicles. These solutions are IEEE 802.3™-2022 compliant with support for PLCA.

Value and Benefits

  • Optimized Connectivity: Enables flexible, hardware-based Ethernet edge node integration for automotive systems.
  • Seamless Interoperability: Shares bus with any 10BASE-T1S-compliant device for unified architecture.
  • Low-Latency Performance: Ensures deterministic data path to sensor/actuator interfaces.
  • Simplified Deployment: Centralizes software, reduces system complexity and cost.

Customer Testimonials

“While working alongside ADI on 10BASE-T1S E²B, we joined efforts on a number of key considerations, from simplifying implementation to cost analysis and design support. The relationship with ADI has enabled us to move more quickly to market with a zonal architecture solution for software-defined vehicles,” the BMW Group stated.
