How It Works

Evaluation Studio transforms how users evaluate and interact with Analog Devices hardware by unifying analysis, control, and configuration within a single extensible desktop platform, building on ACE’s foundation.

Built on a common software framework with a plug-in architecture, it delivers device-specific functionality without monolithic complexity, adapting to a wide range of products across the Analog Devices portfolio.

One Platform for All Analog Devices Evaluation Boards

The platform replaces multi-tool evaluation workflows with a unified desktop experience. Install once and extend with board-specific plug-ins. No separate tools, no manual driver setup.

Upon connection, identifiable hardware is automatically detected, the right plug-in is identified, and installation completes in just one click. Connect, configure, and synchronize multiple evaluation boards simultaneously, accelerating system-level development from a single environment.

Each plug-in extends the platform with the functionality required to configure, control, and evaluate a particular product or product family, installed directly through integrated plug-in management. This modular approach enables distributed development, rapid device support expansion, and scalable functionality as new boards and capabilities are introduced.

Complete Control from Parameters to Register-Level Access

From high-level configuration to low-level tuning, the platform balances ease of use with deep technical control, supporting device optimization for any use case.

Powerful Analysis and High-Performance Visualization

Plug-ins are equipped with analysis tools to evaluate hardware performance across time and frequency domains. Integrated FFT analysis, waveform visualization, and histograms provide deep insight into signal behavior and system performance.

AI-Ready Integration

A built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) server enables MCP-compatible AI assistants to interact with the application directly, executing transactions, capturing data, and navigating the interface. This provides automation and guided, conversational access to the evaluation workflow.

Migration from Analysis Control Evaluation (ACE)

Evaluation Studio is the next generation of Analog Devices evaluation software. A modern, extensible platform with standardized APIs, consistent interfaces, and scalable architecture, purpose-built for all new plug-in development. ACE continues to support existing long-term products, while new development and device enablement are directed to Evaluation Studio. A stronger foundation for every evaluation ahead.
