High-performance ICs in Single-supply Analog Circuits

As system designers increasingly use single-supply power for both analog and digital circuits, they face challenges if they must obtain the kind of performance they are used to at higher voltages–and increased challenges if they seek to better it. This article examines some typical precision analog functions with op amps and other devices, using chips and application techniques designed to produce maximum benefit on single low-voltage (3–5-volt) supplies at low power.
