The PHY2210 is a complete integrated transceiver designed for use in active copper cable assemblies. The device incorporates an easily adjustable preemphasis driver on the transmit side, and the receiver is optimized to equalize for copper cables at data rates of up to 10.5Gbps. Initialization and control of the device can be provided by using a small EEPROM, allowing low-cost cable assemblies to be realized.
Low power consumption and the use of a 5mm x 5mm QFN package allow the development of a SFP+ compliant active cable assembly. The device extends 10G transmission distances across twin-axial copper cable up to 15 meters.
Applications
- Ethernet 1G, 10G
- Fibre Channel 1G, 2G, 4G, 8G
- SFP+ Active Copper Cables
