RTD TechClipThe LTC2983 is a highly accurate, simple to use, universal temperature measurement system. It directly interfaces to RTDs, applies the excitation current, simultaneously measures the RTD and sense resistor, and reports the results in degrees C or F. It does not require any external references, buffers, or level shift circuitry. It includes linearization data for standard RTDs or can be programmed to with tabular data for custom RTDs. Each result includes sensor-specific fault data. The LTC2983 includes 20 analog inputs which can be universally configured to digitize PT-10, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, and NI-120 type RTDs as well as thermocouples, diodes, and thermistors. Refer to other videos in this series for more information on the unique capabilities of the LTC2983 relative to thermocouples and thermistors. Thermocouple TechClipThe LTC2983 is a highly accurate, simple to use, universal temperature measurement system. It directly interfaces to thermocouples, simultaneously measures the thermocouple output voltage and cold junction temperature, and reports the results in degrees C or F. It does not require any external references, buffers, or level shift circuitry. It includes linearization data for standard thermocouples or can be programmed to with tabular data for custom thermocouples. Each result includes sensor-specific fault data.
