NEC与ADI合作为Rakuten Mobile提供5G O-RAN大规模MIMO无线电方案

  • NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701)与 Analog Devices, Inc.(Nasdaq: ADI)日前宣布,双方已协手为Rakuten Mobile设计出一款适用于5G网络的大规模MIMO天线无线电单元。该无线电单元采用ADI第四代宽带RF收发器解决方案,可实现高精度的大规模MIMO,并且具有5G开放式vRAN(虚拟无线接入网)接口,可满足Rakuten Mobile端到端全虚拟化云原生移动网络的需求,通过3.7GHz大规模MIMO*1和数字波束成型技术*2实现高效的大容量传输。云原生虚拟网络预示着一个重大转变:通信服务提供商将以何种方式在全球范围内以明显较低的成本提供高速的互联网接入,并且尽可能无需物理基础设施相关的维护、保养、维修和人工成本,因为正是这些因素阻碍了传统网络的发展。NEC已经开始向Rakuten Mobile交付5G网络大规模MIMO天线无线电单元。

    ADI第四代宽带RF收发器将四通道发射器、接收器和数字预失真(DPD)集成在一个芯片内。该无线电方案可以完全通过软件重新配置,并且覆盖全部sub-6GHz 5G频段,从而简化了无线电设计。
