Whether your metric is safe failure fraction (SFF) or single point fault (SPF), ADI will collaborate with you to meet your safety goals. As a leading supplier of mixed-signal, MEMS, and DSP products, ADI has experience in a wide variety of diagnostic techniques including the use of hardware cyclic redundancy check (CRC) to protect serial peripheral interface (SPI) systems; fuses and flash memory; electrostatic self-test for MEMS; and error correcting codes (ECC) to detect soft errors in RAMs.

Failure Rate Data
ADI publishes failure-in-time (FIT) data for its products based on accelerated life testing. Our online reliability tool can be used to generate an expected FIT rate for a specific product or based on the process node, e.g., 0.18μm CMOS. The tool generates data on confidence levels of 60% and 90% and allows the average operating temperature to be selected.
ADI also has the capability to predict failure rates using IEC 62380, SN29500, and other industry standards.
