Definition

Intel Mobile Voltage Positioning (IMVP) is a technology in which the processor voltage (V_CC) is dynamically adjusted, based on the processor activity, to reduce processor power. It allows higher processor clock speed at a given power consumption; or lower consumption at a given clock frequency.
