EVM

What is EVM?

Definition

Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) is a measure of the difference between the (ideal) waveform and the measured waveform. The difference is called the error vector, usually referred to with regard to M-ary I/Q modulation schemes like QPSK, and shown on an I/Q "constellation" plot of the demodulated symbols.
