Product Details
The MAX86181 Evaluation Kit (EV kit) provides a quick evaluation of the MAX86181 optical analog front end (AFE) data acquisition system. The MAX86181 AFE is a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), ultra-low power, and quad-channel AFE for multiwavelength optical spectroscopy with dynamic voltage scaling (DVS). The MAX86181 has two high-current 8-bit programmable LED drivers and four low-noise charge integrating 20-bit ADC receiving channels along with best-in-class ambient light cancellation (ALC) circuit making it flexible and optimized for optical sensing in wearable and medical applications.
The MAX86181 EV kit supports both I2C and serial peripheral interface (SPI) compatible interfaces in a fully autonomous way. The MAX86181 has a large 1024-word built-in FIFO. The EV kit supports file and flash logging, which allows the user to disconnect from the computer for more convenient data capturing sessions.
The MAX86181 EV kit comprises two boards. The MAXSENSORBLE_EVKIT_B is the data acquisition boardwhile the MAX86181_EVKIT_C is the MAX86181 sensorboard. The EV KIT is powered by a Li-Po battery, which isrecharged through a USB-C cable. The EV KIT streamsdata using Bluetooth® through Windows® BLE. The EV KIT contains the latest firmware but comes with the programming circuit board MAXDAP-TYPE-C in case a firmware upgrade is needed.
Note: This EV kit is not a medical device.
