Product Details

The ADAA245X-EV-A1CA Mini Module is a compact, cost-effective breakout board designed to accelerate development and evaluation of Automotive Audio Bus (A2B®) systems. It interfaces seamlessly with DSP carrier boards and audio base boards via a 100-pin connector and supports custom hardware integration through a 32-pin (0.1") header. The board functions as either a main or subordinate node, with flexible local power configurations to suit diverse system topologies.

In an A2B network, the main transceiver located at the host controller generates clock, synchronization, and framing signals for all subordinate nodes. It is programmable over I²C or SPI, and the control bus is embedded within the A2B data stream, allowing direct access to subordinate transceiver registers and any connected peripherals.

The ADAA245X-EV-A1CA supports direct connections to PDM microphones and a wide range of peripherals via I2C, SPI, OA-SPI, and a multichannel I2S/TDM interface with two independent clock domains. Additional features include up to 16 multiplexed GPIOs, 4 PWM outputs, 2 ADC inputs, and a 4-channel ASRC input/output for asynchronous sample rate conversion. Integrated MAX20075D step-down regulators provide stable power, while onboard diagnostic LEDs offer visual feedback for power, status, GPIO/PWM activity, and interrupts.

This board is part of a modular evaluation platform that supports various A2B configurations, enabling developers to validate system performance across multiple use cases.

Note: The ADAA245x-EV-A1CA evaluation board can be used either stand-alone OR when combined with the ADAA24xx-EV-B2BX board to emulate an intelligent A2B-connected node.
