MicroConverter® On-Chip Kernel History
The below tables document all enhancements made to the On-Chip Download/Debug Kernel for each individual MicroConverter product. You can identify which Kernel version you're working with by examining the "Reset String" emitted by the chip's UART serial port when you reset it into Download/Debug mode. There is a unique Reset String for each version of Kernel as indicated below.

Wherever possible, Analog Devices strives to maintain backward compatibility of all development tools such that the latest tools software will be compatible with all versions of On-Chip Kernel. The only exception to this rule is the QuickStart™ Debugger, which is incompatible with the ADuC812 "Version 1" Kernel, but is fully compatible with all other Kernel versions across all products.
