The ADP1864 online design tool provides the user with complete buck converter designs based on inputs of Vin, Vout, Iout, and ambient temperature. A continuous range of solutions is available for Vout < 14 Volts and Iout < 10 Amps. All designs are surface mount and use ceramic capacitors throughout. With component selectors set in the "Auto" mode this tool automatically chooses all circuit values needed to produce an optimized high efficiency design. Expected efficiency is graphed, component losses with predicted peak temperatures are shown, and a complete BOM with vendor part numbers is generated instantly.
