The AD9726 is a 16-bit high performance LVDS DAC that offers exceptional noise and spurious performance and true 16-bit dc linearity. Manufactured on a CMOS process, the AD9726 uses a proprietary switching technique that enhances dynamic performance. A wide full-scale current adjustment span of 2 mA to 20 mA allows the AD9726 to operate at reduced power levels. The current output(s) of the AD9726 can be easily configured for various single-ended or differential circuit topologies.

The AD9726 leverages the latest TxDAC+ core technology found in the AD9786 product family to achieve industry-leading noise and intermodulation distortion (IMD) performance. This record-breaking performance allows synthesis of multicarrier transmit signals at intermediate frequencies (IFs) of 140 MHz and beyond. As a result, system designers can eliminate an up-conversion stage and reduce overall parts count, ultimately lowering total system cost. Alternatively, the high conversion rate enables wideband signal synthesis.

AD9726 Evaluation Board

Product Details

The AD9726 evaluation board provides a platform for evaluating the performance of the device. To operate the board, the user must apply power, a clock source, a digital data source, and be able to    observe the DAC output on either a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope. A low jitter sine or square wave clock will work well as a source. The evaluation board comes with software which allows the user to program the SPI port. Via the SPI port, the DUT can be programmed into any of its various operating modes.
