Diversity and Inclusion

The mission of ADI Diversity and Inclusion is to drive a culture that values and leverages the uniqueness of each employee so they may develop and grow at ADI. Diversity and Inclusion is an important business imperative not only to ADI but to stakeholders alike.

Organizational Integration

ADI demonstrates the integration of Diversity and Inclusion through its organizational structure. The Director of Diversity and Inclusion is also an HR director, who, during the reporting period, directly reports to the CPO (Chief People Officer) (previously SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer), an executive officer of ADI, demonstrating cross functional integration and access to the highest governing level.

Diversity and Inclusion Programs at ADI

ADI is committed to a work environment where employees are treated with respect and fairness. ADI does not discriminate in its hiring, promotion, employee compensation, or employment practices based on race, color, religion, age, nationality, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy, disability, military status, or other categories protected by applicable law. In addition, workers or potential workers at ADI are not subjected to medical tests that could be used in a discriminatory way.

Pay it Forward
A program open to ADI High Performing or High potential women to help with mobility into higher grades by providing a mentor. In exchange, we send them to different university programs to increase the pool size of female applicants, provide a female intern over the summer, and encourage the participants to find other ways to pay it forward—many volunteer with their local schools, participate in Girls that Code, etc.

Diversity Networks at ADI
Our Global Employee Networks connect professionals with one another and provide mentoring, learning, and development opportunities. They also give professionals access to role models that help them develop and advance. Employee Networks are voluntary, employee-led groups dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

External Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

Catalyst is a global nonprofit working with some of the world’s most powerful CEOs and leading companies to build workplaces that work for women. Catalyst helps organizations remove barriers and drive change with pioneering research, practical tools, and proven solutions to accelerate and advance women into leadership.

Grace Hopper
The Grace Hopper Celebration is the world's largest gathering of women technologists. For the past two years, ADI has sponsored, had a recruiting booth, and sent a number of women to participate in the Grace Hopper Conference.

UMASS Boston Female Engineering Camp
Female students interested in pursuing engineering and who entered 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2018 are eligible to apply to this week-long camp where they learn about innovation, sustainability, product design and performance analysis. ADI sends female engineers for one day to interact with the campers, answer questions, and discuss careers in engineering.

I Wish inspires, encourages and motivates young secondary school female students to pursue careers in STEM. iWish features a conference consisting of workshops, daily keynotes and engaging talks by women who are at the top of their field in STEM. The event also features talks and interaction with female role models (superstars and graduates) and spaces where companies share experiments and demonstrations of what they do directly with the students.
