Программа качества и надежности Analog Devices
Functional Safety Program
Functional safety has three key requirements at the IC level.
- High reliability – Analog Devices has always placed the highest emphasis on delivering products that meet the highest levels of reliability.
- Good diagnostics – to detect failures, random or systematic.
- A suitable quality management system – Analog Devices has developed enhanced quality management systems for industrial and automotive functional safety

Analog Devices is a leading supplier of MEMS based airbag sensors and ADCs and DACs for PLC analog input/output cards in safety applications. Enhanced IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 development processes now further refine this capability.
Failure Rate Data
Analog Devices publish FIT data for its products based on accelerated life testing on the Analog Devices reliability page. The tool can be used to generate an expected FIT rate for a specific product or based on the process node e.g. 0.18u CMOS. The tool generates the data on the 60% and 90% confidence levels and allows the average operating temperature to be selected.
We also have the capability to predict failure rates using IEC 62380, SN29500 and other standards.
Whether your metric is SFF(safe failure fraction) or single point fault metric, Analog Devices will work with you to meet your safety goals. As a leading supplier of mixed signal, MEMS and DSP we have experience in a wide variety of diagnostic techniques including the use of CRC to protect SPI interfaces, fuses and flash memory, electrostatic self-test for MEMS and ECC to detect soft errors in RAMs.
Applicable IC Development Standards
IEC 61508: Analog Devices has developed a safety process and implemented a corporate framework consistent with the requirements of IEC61508.
ISO 26262: ISO 26262 sets out the functional safety requirements for the automotive sector. Analog Devices has developed a safety process and implemented a corporate framework consistent with the requirements of ISO26262
