The AD8235 is the smallest and lowest power instrumentation amplifier in the industry. It is available in a 1.5 mm × 2.2 mm wafer level chip scale package (WLCSP). The AD8235 draws a maximum quiescent current of 40 μA. In addition, it draws a maximum 500 nA of current during shutdown mode, making it an excellent instrumentation amplifier for battery powered, portable applications.
The AD8235 can operate on supply voltages as low as 1.8 V. The input stage allows for wide rail-to-rail input voltage range without the crossover distortion, common in other designs. The rail-torail output enables easy interfacing to ADCs.
The AD8235 is an excellent choice for signal conditioning. Its low input bias current of 50 pA and high CMRR of 110 dB (G = 100) offer tremendous value for its size and low power. It is specified over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to 125°C.

Evaluation Kits (1)
The AD8235ACBZ-EVALZ contains a CR2032 battery provision that is capable of powering up the AD8235 40 μA, micropower instrumentation amplifier and the LTC2063 low power operational amplifier. This feature allows the AD8235ACBZ-EVALZ to be a standalone board ready for product evaluation.
The AD8235ACBZ-EVALZ design allows the user to easily adjust the gain resistors and common discrete components on the board. The on-board male headers set the AD8235ACBZ-EVALZ to different configurations using the jumper shunt.
The AD8235ACBZ-EVALZ allows battery-powered configuration to showcase the portable nature of the AD8235. In battery-powered configuration, the LTC2063 acts as the voltage reference for the single-supply configuration.

In-Amp Diamond Plot Tool
The Diamond Plot Tool is a web application that generates a configuration-specific Output Voltage Range vs. Input Common-Mode Voltage graph, also known as the Diamond Plot, for Analog Devices Instrumentation Amplifiers. Based on user inputs such as supply voltage, gain, and input signal range, the tool detects saturation and recommends in-amps for which the input signal is in-range and the configuration is valid. Avoid saturation, find the best in-amp for your design, and save time.
