Pat Coady
Division General Manager, Analog Garage
Pat leads the Analog Garage team and focuses on graduating incredible technology out of our labs and out into the world. Pat appreciates that the Garage's success depends on hiring world-class talent and applying multiple disciplines to our most valuable problems. And, that sometimes the best ideas may come from outside our walls, from start-ups or the world’s top universities. Pat has 25 years of R&D experience developing products that consistently delight customers: from cutting edge consumer audio circuits and systems, to the latest in deep learning-based computer vision solutions.
Kim Boucher
Technology Executive & MIT Lecturer
Kimberly Fay Boucher is a business executive who has driven high performance organizations over the past 20 years. She is currently the Technology Engagement Business Leader for the CTO Office at Analog Devices. Prior to this, Kim ran global branding and marketing where she brought her GTM expertise to ADI’s varied business units. Kim is also a Senior Lecturer at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, where she teaches Building an Entrepreneurial Venture in the Martin Trust Center. She holds a BS in Management Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Nimrode Moreshet
Director of Emerging Business, Analog Garage
Nimrode leads the Analog Garage West team of business development and systems engineering experts based in San Jose. He joins the Analog Garage from ADI’s corporate M&A group where his strategic vision, financial analysis, and instincts for disruptive ideas drove a number of small, medium, and large deals.
Vlad Kvartenko
Systems/Product Engineering Manager
As a member of the Analog Garage H3 Team, Vlad vets new ideas, mentors idea champions through the funnel process, helps to develop, validate, mature and bring to the market new technologies. Vlad led Product Engineering efforts on the first successfully graduated Analog Garage project. Vlad is passionate about bringing innovative ideas to market-ready level. His main areas of expertise are wireless telecommunication systems, mixed signal systems, hardware design, embedded systems design, mixed signal IC design validation and test.
Greg Davis
RF Systems Engineer
Greg brings RF, signal processing and systems engineering expertise to the west coast Garage team. He identifies and evaluates opportunities to connect innovative startups to Analog Devices resources, particularly in the wireless space. He enjoys bridging gaps: between analog and digital, algorithms and hardware, research and production, technology and people. Greg's background includes communications infrastructure and experimental cosmology instrument design.
Mihai Murgulescu
Emerging Business Manager
Mihai has an Electrical Engineering degree from his native Romania, followed by an MSc and a PhD from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, from Paris, France. Mihai held various positions in RF design at Philips Semiconductors, Maxim Integrated Products, and Qorvo. He founded and served as CTO of Cresta Technology, a startup in the field of television reception. He also owned a practice in the fields of patents and RF engineering. Mihai is a USPTO Registered Patent Agent.
Sasha Dass
Technical Program Manager
Sasha founded and leads the Project Management Organization in the Garage. With a focus on improved communications, visibility, and deliverables, she strives to improve the Garage’s win rate. Sasha draws from her decades of project management experience to guide projects down the right paths to success. Sasha also leverages over 12 years of working within ADI’s various business units to develop stronger connections between the Garage and the rest of ADI to ensure successful graduation of projects, and that the Garage remains ahead of tomorrow’s problems.
Christoph Kaemmerer
Emerging Business Development
Christoph is a physicist by training (MSc University of Erlangen) and holds a MBA degree from University of Mannheim. He joins the Analog Garage from a Field Application role in Europe, where he was responsible for emerging technologies. Major focus areas were sensors, including both optical and electrical sensors. As part of Sales, he understands the importance of putting early customer needs at the center of product strategy development.
Susan Buckley
Project Specialist
Susan is a Project Manager in the Emerging Business Group at Analog Garage and has been with the garage since its inception in 2014. She monitors projects from funding to graduation, sets regular reporting schedules with the emerging business leadership team and relevant BUs to evaluate projects for future funding, and maintains project timelines and documentation across multiple platforms. Susan focuses on process improvement, operational efficiency, and effective communications throughout Analog Garage and within ADI.
Research Team
Jonathan Yedidia
Director of AI Research
Jonathan directs the Algorithmic Systems Group at Analog Garage, which creates advanced signal processing and AI algorithms, and implements those algorithms in efficient hardware to solve real world problems. He studied and researched AI algorithms for over 30 years at Princeton, Bell Labs, Harvard, the Ecole Normale Superieure, MERL, and Disney Research, before coming to Analog Garage in 2016.
Roman Trogan
Senior Systems Architect, Emerging Business Group
Roman is responsible for technical and business assessment with an emphasis on new ideas for bioengineering systems and technologies, RF and microwave electronic systems, and computer architecture. He evaluates the system design aspects of new business ideas and looks for ways to collaborate. Roman has been on the ground floor of start-ups and is passionate about finding deep tech breakthroughs that can thrive in the stochastic world of emerging businesses.
Colm Prendergast
Principal Engineer and Principal System Architect
Colm works on algorithms and systems for autonomous vehicle sensing applications. During his career at ADI Colm has led projects in a wide variety of applications areas including, Digital Video, Audio, Communications and DSP, and MEMs. Most recently Colm has led ADI’s cloud technology development effort in the IoT space. Colm holds 14 US patents and is a member of IEEE and SIGGRAPH. Colm received a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from University of Limerick, Ireland and a Master’s Degree from University College Cork, Ireland.
Tao Yu
Senior Research Scientist
Tao is dedicated to applying advanced algorithms to system solutions. With extensive knowledge on hardware systems as well as the state-of-the-art deep learning techniques, he is aspiring to solve system level challenges with practical algorithm implementation. His most recent efforts include intelligent algorithms for ADI’s future radio technology. Tao holds a BS degree from Peking University, China, and an MS and a PhD degree from MIT.
Jason King
Software Engineer, Analog Garage Team Lead
Jason joined the Garage with 20 years of experience in the ATE industry in electrical, systems, and software engineering, where he focused on systems architecture and performance. His interests include programming languages, algorithms, and software engineering practices.
Sefa Demirtas
Senior Research Scientist
After getting his MSc and PhD in Electrical Engineering from MIT, Sefa joined the ADI team in Cambridge that later evolved into Analog Garage. During his time at ADI, he has both worked on and led a variety of projects ranging from audio signal processing to vital signs monitoring, from time of flight depth imaging to automotive lidar and radar. His research interests lie at the intersection of signal processing and machine learning. Sefa currently leads the development of computer vision applications as well as the edge-to-cloud infrastructure that enables the creation and deployment of these applications.
