Reducing Power Consumption and Thermal Events in Industrial Designs
This webcast will present: typical analog module configuration and show how to calculate the maximum ambient temperature that the system can tolerate, new technology to reduce the power dissipated in the module (regardless of what output load is connected), then look at the performance of these devices when the supply is run from a switching regulator rather than with a linear regulator.
Colm Slattery graduated from the University of Limerick with a bachelor of electronics degree. He joined ADI in 1998 and has held various roles including test development and product and system applications. Colm has also spent 3 years on assignment in a field role in China. Colm is currently a marketing manager in the industrial business unit, focusing on new sensor technologies and new business models.
