How to Address Challenging Blocking Scenarios for Mission Critical Communications

With limited spectrum and increasing use of commercial cellular networks, developing radio platfroms that can address challenging and often dynamic blocker requirements increases. The new generation of mission critical radios are expected to handle a growing number of wavefoms and profiles while keeping size weight cost and power consumption down. This webcast will discuss the merits of an agile software defined radio IC that offers the RF peformance to handle the challenging blockers but also enables a platform solution to address SWAP-C for both terminals and networking applications.

Hyman Shanan is a Principal RFIC Design Team Lead with the Multi-Market Platform Wireless Group at Analog Devices, where he is currently involved in the architecture and design of wireless communication systems for satellites, defense, RADAR, land-mobile and low-power radios. He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the National University of Ireland, Cork and has over 20 issued and pending US patents for the design and architecture of wireless communication systems.
