    EV1HMC788ALP2 is one of two evaluation boards for HMC788ALP2E. It includes a wideband bias tee that uses a conical inductor. This circuit is mechanically more fragile than EV2HMC788ALP2 which uses bias tee made from surface mount inductors, capacitors and resistors but has superior electrical performance. EV1HMC788ALP2 is populated with components suitable for use over the entire −40°C to +85°C operating temperature range of the HMC788ALP2E. To calibrate board trace losses, a through calibration path is provided. The through calibration path must be populated with RF connectors before use.
