1 The EVAL-ADF411XEB1 is a general-purpose evaluation board with all auxiliary components (decoupling capacitors, power supply regulators) but without the synthesizer, VCO or loop filter. It can accommodate all devices in the ADF4110 and ADF4116 families, and ADF4106 and ADF4107 parts. This board should be ordered if the customer's requirements are different from what is listed for boards 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 above. Samples of the specific synthesizer should be ordered at the same time. The customer can then insert this on the board, choose a VCO to meet the frequency requirements and design the loop filter to fit the application needs.
2 The EVAL-ADF4001EB2, and EVAL-ADF4002EBZ1 are general-purpose evaluation boards with all auxiliary components (decoupling capacitors, power supply regulators) but without VCO or loop filter. They contain the ADF4001BRUZ or ADF4002BRUZ respectively. The customer can choose a VCO to meet the frequency requirements and design the loop filter to fit the application needs.
By following the software link, above, you will be taken to a location where the evaluation board control software is available for download. Full documentation on each of the above boards is also included in this. At the software location, there is also a utility available to aid in the loop filter design.

1 The ADF4360-7 is a device that operates with an external inductor. The EVAL-ADF4360-7EBZ1 board uses a 3.9 nH inductor to give a range of 800 MHz to 920 MHz. If an alternative range is required, consult the data sheet to choose the correct inductor for a particular range. The full frequency range of the ADF4360-7 is 500 MHz to 2400 MHz.
2 The ADF4360-8 is a device that operates with an external inductor. The EVAL-ADF4360-8EBZ1 board uses a 220 nH inductor to give a range of 110 MHz to 130 MHz. If an alternative range is required, consult the data sheet to choose the correct inductor for a particular range. The full frequency range of the ADF4360-8 is 65 MHz to 400 MHz.
3 The ADF4360-9 is a device that operates with an external inductor. The EVAL-ADF4360-8EBZ1 board uses a 22 nH inductor to give a VCO range of 320 MHz to 384 MHz. If an alternative range is required, consult the data sheet to choose the correct inductor for a particular range. The full frequency range of the ADF4360-9 is 65 MHz to 400 MH in fundamental mode and 2 - 200 MHz with the programmable output divider enabled.
