AD7451/AD7441: PSEUDO DIFFERENTIAL, 1 MSPS, 12- AND 10-BIT ADCS

Introduction

The AD7451 and the AD7441 are respectively 12- and 10-Bit, high speed, low power successive approximation ADCs that feature a pseudo differential analog input. These parts operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V power supply and feature throughput rates up to 1 MSPS.

The EVAL-AD7451CB and the EVAL-AD7441CB can be used to evaluate the AD7451 and the AD7441 respectively. Each evaluation kit includes the AD7451/41CB evaluation board and a CD-ROM containing a Technical Note, and a description of the Evaluation Board Controller. The Technical Note describes the evaluation board for the AD7451/AD7441. Full details on the AD7441/AD7451 are also available in the AD7441/AD7451 data sheet (pdf, 421,597 bytes), and this should be consulted in conjunction with this Technical Note when using the Evaluation Board.

Included in the EVAL-AD7451CB and EVAL-AD7441CB evaluation board package is software for controlling and evaluating the performance of the AD7451 and AD7441 when they are operated with the EVALUATION BOARD CONTROLLER. (See additional information below.) The EVAL-AD7451/41CB Demonstration/Evaluation Software runs under Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and NT. The user interface on the PC is via a dedicated program written especially for the EVAL-AD7451CB and EVAL-AD7441CB.
