The AD7923 is a 4-Channel, 12-bit successive-approximation ADC. The part operates from a single 2.7 V to 5 V power supply and features a throughput rate of up to 200 kSPS. The EVAL-AD7923CB can be used to evaluate the AD7923 ADC.
Accompanying the EVAL-AD7923CB is a CD-ROM containing a Technical Note describing the evaluation board for the AD7923. Full details on the AD7923 are available in the data sheet which can be downloaded from the AD7923 product page. It should be consulted in conjunction with this Technical Note when using the Evaluation Board.
On-board components include an AD780, which is a pin programmable +2.5 V or +3 V ultra high precision bandgap reference, REF192 +2.5 V Reference, the AD713, and AD712 op-amps. Interfacing to this board is through a 96-Way connector. This 96-Way connector is compatible with the Evaluation board controller (EVAL-CONTROL BRD2), which is also available from Analog Devices. External sockets are provided for REFIN, SCLK, DIN, DOUT and CS signals, two biased-up circuits for bipolar input signals and four sockets (Vin0 to Vin3) for the Analog input channels.
Included in the EVAL-AD7923CB evaluation board package is software for controlling and evaluating the performance of the AD7923 when it is operated with the EVALUATION BOARD CONTROLLER. The EVAL-AD7923CB Demonstration/Evaluation Software runs under Windows 95, 98, 2000 and NT. The user interface on the PC is via a dedicated program written especially for the EVAL-AD7923CB.
