RF/IF SOT-89 Gain Blocks Offer Highest Dynamic Range, Up to 4 GHz
The ADL5601 and ADL5602 provide the highest dynamic range available from internally matched gain blocks. This performance is accomplished by providing extremely low noise figures and very high OIP3 specifications simultaneously across the entire 4 GHz frequency range. The ADL5601 provides 15 dB of gain, while the ADL5602 provides 20 dB of gain, both with an output linearity of 41 dBm and noise figures below 3.5 dB at 2 GHz on just 85 mA of current. Both amplifiers are 50 Ω internally matched with integrated active bias circuitry, which minimizes the need for external components. Both devices are Class 1C (1 kV) ESD rated and are offered in the industry-standard SOT-89 package, making it easy to drop in and evaluate in any current design. Fully populated evaluation boards are available.

1 W Broadband RF Driver Amplifier Consumes Less Power in a Smaller Package
The ADL5604 is a broadband 1 W RF driver amplifier that offers very high linearity for a given output power, enabling a low distortion and high output drive directly to the power amplifier stages from 400 MHz to 2700 MHz. The ADL5604 provides a gain of 14.2 dB, an OIP3 of 42.6 dBm, a P1dB of 29 dBm, and a noise figure of 4.2 dB at 2140 MHz while consuming just 325 mA on a single 5 V supply. This low power consumption allows excellent thermal performance from a compact 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP package. The ADL5604 also includes a shutdown function and integrates the active bias circuitry, which minimizes the need for external matching components. A fully populated evaluation board is available.

RMS Power Detector Offers Unparalleled Temperature and Frequency Performance with 60 dB of Dynamic Range
The ADL5902 is a TruPwr™ rms detector that offers 60 dB of constant dynamic range across the widest frequency range of 100 MHz to >6 GHz. Designs for W-CDMA, TDS-CDMA, LTE, and WiMAX applications that have highly varying crest factor signals require the highest level of measurement precision available to maximize system efficiency. The ADL5902 accomplishes this by achieving an impressive <±0.3 dB temperature stability over the entire 60 dB dynamic range. The signal is sent directly into the single-ended input—eliminating the need for an external balun—which saves board space and component costs while simplifying use. The ADL5902 is also fully specified and stable over the entire operating temperature range of –40°C to +125°C and supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 5.5 V. The device is packaged in a compact 16-lead, 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP and is pin-compatible with the 50 dB dynamic range AD8363. A fully populated evaluation board is available.
