Groundbreaking 9.6 mA Differential ADC Driver Supports True 12-Bit and 14-Bit Converter Performance
The ADA4932-1 (single) and ADA4932-2 (dual) differential ADC drivers are next generation, very low power versions of ADI's AD8132. The AD813x family enabled the market shift to differential signaling—setting a new industry standard for differential ADC drivers.
The ADA4932 is a programmable gain ADC driver that supports both single-ended and differential inputs and is capable of delivering true 14-bit ADC performance at frequencies from dc to 20 MHz, and true 12-bit ADC performance at frequencies from dc to 50 MHz. The device offers SFDR performance of 95 dB at 20 MHz and 72 dB at 50 MHz, while maintaining a very low quiescent power consumption of 9.6 mA (–30 mW) per channel. The ADA4932-1 is available in 16-lead LFCSP; the ADA4932-2 is available in 24-lead LFCSP. A fixed gain version of this chip, the ADA4950-1 (single) and ADA4950-2 (dual) is also available, offering fixed gains of 1×, 2×, or 3×. Both devices are pin-to-pin compatible with ADI's ADA4937, ADA4938, ADA4939, and ADA4927 differential ADC drivers. The ADA4932 supports 12-bit and 14-bit ADCs including ADI's AD9236 12-bit, 80 MSPS, 3 V ADC, and AD9245 14-bit 20 MSPS/ 40 MSPS/65 MSPS/80 MSPS ADC.
