Differential Input, 1 MSPS, 12- and 10-Bit ADCs in an 8-Lead SOT-23
Introduction
The AD7450A and the AD7440 are respectively 12- and 10-Bit, high speed, low power successive approximation ADCs that feature a fully differential analog input. These parts operate from a single 3 V or 5 V power supply and feature throughput rates up to 1 MSPS.
The EVAL-AD7450ACB and the EVAL-AD7440CB can be used to evaluate the AD7450A and the AD7440 respectively. Each evaluation kit includes the AD7450A/40CB evaluation board and a CD-ROM containing a Technical Note and a description of the Evaluation Board Controller. The Technical Note describes the evaluation board for the AD7450A/AD7440. Full details on the AD7440/AD7450A are also available in the AD7440/AD7450A datasheet (which can be downloaded from the AD7450A or AD7440 Product Pages), and this should be consulted in conjunction with this Technical Note when using the Evaluation Board.
Software
Included in the EVAL-AD7450ACB and EVAL-AD7440CB evaluation board package is software for controlling and evaluating the performance of the AD7450A and AD7440 when they are operated with the EVALUATION BOARD CONTROLLER (pdf, 420,332 bytes). The EVAL-AD7450A/40CB Demonstration/Evaluation Software runs under Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and NT. The user interface on the PC is via a dedicated program written especially for the EVAL-AD7450ACB and EVAL-AD7440CB.
