The platform also consists of interposer boards. These boards route the 120 pin connector signals between the SDP connector and a second connector. They can be used to monitor signal output on the SDP 120 pin connector or to allow SDP daughter boards connect to certain third party FPGA development modules. This allows users to develop system prototypes around their ADI evaluation boards using their preferred FPGA.
The SDP Breakout Board has a 120 pin connector that connects to a controller board and a 120 pin connector that connects to a daughter board. There are through hole probe points on each signal line between the 120 pin connectors.
The BeMicro SDK/SDP Interposer has a 120 pin connector for connecting to SDP daughter boards and an edge connector for connecting to Arrows BeMicro SDK.
The SDP-I-FMC interposer has a 120 pin connector for connecting to SDP daughter boards and a FMC LPC connector for connecting to Xilinx FPGA Evaluation Boards.
Interposer boards route signals between connectors. They do not have any additional functionality on board.
The System Demonstration Platform (SDP) is a low cost, re-useable and versatile evaluation system. It is comprised of controller, interposer, system function and daughter boards and is compatible with a growing number of ADI component evaluation boards and Circuits from the Lab™ Reference Circuits.
