Product Description

The AD8364 is a dual channel TruPwr™ detector, designed to provide wide dynamic range signal power measurement (> 60dB). The product provides an accurately scaled linear-in-dB output response, that is the equivalent Root-Mean-Square (RMS) of the input waveform.

The AD8364 integrates two matched individual channels on a single IC, enabling three RMS output voltages, an accurately scaled independent output for each input channel and a difference output that can measure the gain or loss between the two input signals. In addition to the RMS outputs, the AD8364 provides an output voltage proportional to temperature from on chip temperature sensor.

The AD8364 is ideally suited for the measurement of complex modulated waveforms, with large crest factors. The AD8364 is effectively waveform and modulation independent enabling the user to acquire a precise RMS level of complex modulated (QAM / QPSK / OFDM) wavefoms found high capacity wireless and wire-line communication networks.
