AD6623 (AD6622) ANALOG-TO-DIGITAL: STAND ALONE BOARD EVALUATION TOOLS (AD6623S/PCB)

Introduction

The AD6623 Evaluation Kit is designed to provide a very simple means to evaluate the performance of the Digital UpConverter (DUC). The software tool kit consists of several components including SoftCell Filter Design software, documentation for the filter synthesis tool, evaluation board control software, and evaluation board manual. The SoftCell Filter Design software allows easy comparison between different distributions of interpolation between each of the stages. Since the chip is fully programmable, the synthesis tool allows detailed filter characteristics to be included when specifying desired filter performance. The evaluation board control software may be used to fully verify the performance of the AD6623.

The AD6623 Evaluation Kit can also be used to evaluate the performance of the AD6622 DUC, by selecting an AD6622 compatible mode in the evaluation board control software.

Evaluation Board

One AD6623 (or AD6622) soldered to the evaluation board
One AD9772A TxDAC® Converter
Header outputs that make parallel data outputs of the AD6623 (or AD6622) available for FIFO capture or AD6623 cascade
Header outputs that make parallel data outputs of the AD6623 (or AD6622) available for driving a TxDAC evaluation board
Can be configured into existing radio architectures for in-system evaluations Interfaces to a bi-directional PC serial port (COM1 through COM4)
Can be used in AD6622 compatible mode to support AD6622 evaluation
