Dual-Core: 240MHz ARM Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M0 with 11+ ENOB ADC, BGA 210
The ADSP-CM41xF series of mixed-signal control processors is based on the ARM® Cortex-M4™ processor core with floating point unit operating at frequencies up to 240 MHz. In addition, some of the series incorporate an ARM® Cortex-M0™ processor core operating at frequencies up to 100 MHz which enables the integration of dual-core safety redundancy into a single chip. The processors integrate up to 160K Bytes of SRAM memory with ECC, up to 1M Byte of flash memory with ECC, accelerators and peripherals optimized for photo-voltaic (PV) inverter control and motor control, and an analog module consisting of up to two 16-bit SAR-type ADCs, one 14-bit on M0 ADC and one 12-bit DAC. The ADSP-CM41xF family operates from a single voltage supply, generating its own internal voltage supplies using internal voltage regulators and an external pass transistor.
By integrating a rich set of industry-leading system peripherals and memory, the ADSP-CM41xF mixed signal control processors are the platform of choice for next-generation applications that require RISC programmability and leading-edge signal processing in one integrated package. These applications span a wide array of markets in power conversion and include Solar PV inverters, motor/power control, and battery charging/control.
This product is new and engineering validation may still be underway. Quantities may be limited and design specifications may change while we ready the product for release to production.
The EZ-KIT contains an analog interface and PWM/digital interface. These interfaces are provided for connecting with daughter boards to expand on the functionality of the EZ-KIT. The evaluation board is designed to be used in conjunction with the IAR Embedded Workbench®and Segger® development environment for advanced application code development and debug such as:
- Create, compile, assemble, and link application programs written in C++, C, and assembly
- Load, run, step, halt, and set breakpoints in application programs
- Read and write data and program memory
- Read and write core and peripheral registers
CrossCore Serial Flash Programmer
CrossCore Serial Flash Programmer (CCSFP) is a standalone application for programming, erasing and re-programming the on-board flash of mixed-signal processors, via the UART interface.
Software Development Tools
Future releases of CrossCore Serial Flash Programmer will be distributed as part of the CrossCore Utilities product. CrossCore Utilities provides several utilities for use with Cortex-M processors. These utilities have previously been distributed within various Board Support Packages for the IAR and Keil toolchains, and are collected together in this product for convenient maintenance.
ADI has always placed the highest emphasis on delivering products that meet the maximum levels of quality and reliability. We achieve this by incorporating quality and reliability checks in every scope of product and process design, and in the manufacturing process as well. "Zero defects" for shipped products is always our goal.
