Quad, 12-Bit nanoDAC+ with 2 ppm/°C On-Chip Reference and SPI Interface
The AD5684R nanoDAC+TM is a quad, 12-bit, rail-to-rail, voltage output DAC. The device includes a 2.5V, 2ppm/˚C internal reference (enabled by default) and a gain select pin giving a full-scale output of 2.5V (gain=1) or 5V (gain=2).
The AD5684R also incorporates a power-on-reset circuit and a RSTSEL pin that ensures the DAC outputs power up to zero-scale or midscale, and remain there until a valid write takes place. Each device contains a per-channel power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 4 uA at 3 V while in power-down mode.
The AD5684R employs a versatile SPI interface that operates at clock rates up to 50 MHz and includes a VLOGIC pin intended for 1.8V/ 3V/ 5V logic.

The Evaluation board for the AD5684R contains a SDP-B connection and software allowing the AD5684R to be controlled from a SDP-B board.
The SDP Controller board is a separate list item in the ordering guide below (EVAL-SDP-CB1Z). If you have not previously purchased an SDP Controller board, please do so to ensure a full evaluation setup.
The EVAL-AD5686RSDZ evaluation board is designed to help users quickly prototype new AD5686R circuits and reduce design time. The AD5686R operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. The AD5686R incorporates an internal 2.5 V reference to give an output voltage of 2.5 V or 5 V. The evaluation board also incorporates additional voltage references.
Full data on the AD5686R can be found in the data sheet, available from Analog Devices, which should be consulted in conjunction with the user guide when using the evaluation board.
The EVAL-AD5686RSDZ interfaces to the USB port of a PC via an SDP board. Software is supplied with the evaluation board to allow the user to program the AD5686R. A PMOD™ connection is also available for different microcontrollers.
This evaluation board is compatible with any Analog Devices SDP board, which can be purchased separately.
