The AD8044 is a quad low power, voltage feedback, high speed amplifier designed to operate on +3 V, +5 V or ±5 V supplies. It has true single-supply capability with an input voltage range extending 200 mV below the negative rail and within 1 V of the positive rail.
The output voltage swing extends to within 25 mV of each rail, providing the maximum output dynamic range. Additionally, it features gain flatness of 0.1 dB to 12 MHz while offering differential gain and phase error of 0.04% and 0.22° on a single +5 V supply. This makes the AD8044 ideal for video electronics such as cameras, video switchers or any high speed portable equipment. The AD8044's low distortion and fast settling make it ideal for active filter applications.
The AD8044 offers low power supply current of 13.1 mA max and can run on a single +3.3 V power supply. These features are ideally suited for portable and battery powered applications where size and power are critical.
The wide bandwidth of 150 MHz along with 170 V/µs of slew rate on a single +5 V supply make the AD8044 useful in many general purpose, high speed applications where dual power supplies of up to ±6 V and single supplies from +3 V to +12 V are needed. The AD8044 is available in 14-pin plastic DIP and SOIC.

Evaluation Kits (1)
This evaluation board is designed to help users evaluate the AD8044. The evaluation board is a bare board: there are no components or amplifiers soldered to the board. These parts must be obtained separately from the table below or on the product page. Free samples may also be requested. The unpopulated board enables users to quickly customize and prototype a variety of op amp circuits, which minimizes risk and reduces time to market.
The User Guide contains all the required documentation to build the board, including schematics, assembly drawing, and Bill of Materials.

Tools & Simulations
ADIsimPE, which is powered by SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, is a circuit simulation suite optimized for the design and development of analog and mixed signal circuits. SIMetrix mode is ideal for the simulation of general non-switching circuits. It provides full Pspice compatibility for use with industry-standard SPICE models. SIMPLIS (SIMulation Piecewise-Linear System) mode simulates the operation of switching circuits with vastly improved robustness, speed, and accuracy compared to standard SPICE. It is particularly useful for switching power supply, PLLs, and ADC/DAC applications.
Use the Analog Filter Wizard to design low-pass, high-pass, or band-pass filters with actual op amps in minutes. As you progress through the design process, you can observe the characteristics of your filter design from ideal specifications to real world circuit behavior. Quickly evaluate the tradeoffs in op amp specifications - including gain-bandwidth, noise, and supply current – to determine the best filter design for your requirements.
Use Photodiode Wizard to design a transimpedance amplifier circuit to interface with a photodiode. Select a photodiode from the library included in the tool, or enter custom photodiode specifications. Quickly observe tradeoffs between Bandwidth, Peaking (Q), and ENOB/SNR. Modify circuit parameters, and immediately see results in plots for pulse response, frequency response, and noise gain.
A utility to convert between standard units of power measurement and signal strength.
This tool estimates die temperature and power dissipation based on the supply voltages, ambient temperature, load characteristics, and package thermal data.
Product Selection Guide (1)
ADI has always placed the highest emphasis on delivering products that meet the maximum levels of quality and reliability. We achieve this by incorporating quality and reliability checks in every scope of product and process design, and in the manufacturing process as well. "Zero defects" for shipped products is always our goal.
