The AD8003 is a triple ultrahigh speed current feedback amplifier. Using ADI’s proprietary eXtra Fast Complementary Bipolar (XFCB) process, the AD8003 achieves a bandwidth of 1.5 GHz and a slew rate of 4300 V/µs. Additionally, the amplifier provides excellent dc precision with an input bias current of 50 µA maximum and a dc input voltage of 0.7 mV.
The AD8003 has excellent video specifications with a frequency response that remains flat out to 190 MHz and 0.1% settling within 12 ns to ensure that even the most demanding video systems maintain excellent fidelity. For applications that use NTSC video, as well as high speed video, the amplifier provides a differential gain of 0.05% and a differential gain of 0.01°.
The AD8003 amplifier is available in a compact 4 mm × 4 mm, 24-lead LFCSP_VQ. The AD8003 is rated to work over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
Product Lifecycle Production
At least one model within this product family is in production and available for purchase. The product is appropriate for new designs but newer alternatives may exist.
Evaluation Kits (1)
This evaluation board is designed to help users evaluate the AD8003. The evaluation board is a bare board: there are no components or amplifiers soldered to the board. These parts must be obtained separately from the table below or on the product page. Free samples may also be requested. The unpopulated board enables users to quickly customize and prototype a variety of op amp circuits, which minimizes risk and reduces time to market.
The User Guide contains all the required documentation to build the board, including schematics, assembly drawing, and Bill of Materials.
Tools & Simulations
ADIsimPE, which is powered by SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, is a circuit simulation suite optimized for the design and development of analog and mixed signal circuits. SIMetrix mode is ideal for the simulation of general non-switching circuits. It provides full Pspice compatibility for use with industry-standard SPICE models. SIMPLIS (SIMulation Piecewise-Linear System) mode simulates the operation of switching circuits with vastly improved robustness, speed, and accuracy compared to standard SPICE. It is particularly useful for switching power supply, PLLs, and ADC/DAC applications.
Rarely Asked Questions (2)
ADI has always placed the highest emphasis on delivering products that meet the maximum levels of quality and reliability. We achieve this by incorporating quality and reliability checks in every scope of product and process design, and in the manufacturing process as well. "Zero defects" for shipped products is always our goal.
