Bangalore, India (09/21/2006) - Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI), a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, today announced the promotion of Dr. Reddy Penumalli to the new position of Managing Director of Analog Devices’ India. In this capacity, Dr. Reddy will be responsible for Strategic Planning, Operations, Administration and Management of all ADI facilities in India. This appointment is a step further in the company’s efforts to unify its two India centers located in Bangalore and Hyderabad into an integrated strategy for India.

Congratulating Dr. Reddy on his appointment, Jerry McGuire, General Manager, Convergent Processing Systems Group said, “We are extremely pleased to announce Dr. Reddy’s appointment as Managing Director of ADI India. In his new role, Dr. Reddy will be instrumental in structuring ADI’s business in the country. Dr. Reddy has industry experience spanning over 26 years and has been with Analog Devices for the last 19 years as part of the Corporate as well as the Research and Development organization. In 2005, Dr. Reddy was appointed Managing Director of Analog Devices’ Hyderabad Development Center. Between 1997 and 2002, Dr. Reddy served as Managing Director for Analog Devices’ India Product Development Center (IPDC) in Bangalore. In this role, he was responsible for the growth of the IPDC in the areas of Chip Design (DSP and mixed signal chips), DSP software development and DSP application engineering. Prior to joining Analog Devices, Dr. Reddy was with AT&T Bell Labs as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and Engineering Manager for over seven years. Dr. Reddy has a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.

The Hyderabad Development Center (HDC) is an Analog Devices' center of excellence for embedded software and systems development for Audio, Multi-media and RF Wireless markets. The center has technology expertise in System integration and System validation, including optimized Codecs for Audio, Video and Voice.

India Product Development Center (IPDC)
The India Product Development Center (IPDC), Bangalore is involved in some of the most challenging technologies today, such as high-speed DSP IC design, Analog IC design, and Multi-media embedded software. Other groups include DSP Application Engineering and Product Engineering. Three generations of industry leading DSP SHARC processors have been developed at IPDC .Engineers at IPDC are involved in all stages of product development from "Concept to Silicon to Production".
