DAN LEIBHOLZ JOINS ANALOG DEVICES INC. AS ENGINEERING DIRECTOR OF GENERAL PURPOSE DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSOR DIVISION
- Takes on strategic direction of engineering teams developing future Blackfin and SHARC processors, tools, hardware, software and applications engineering.

Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI), a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, today announced that Dan Liebholz has been appointed Engineering Director of the General Purpose Digital Signal Processing (GP-DSP) Division, reporting to Gerald McGuire, the Division Vice President. In this newly created position, Dan takes on responsibility for the GPDSP worldwide engineering organizations, leading the strategic direction and execution of the development of high performance, complete solution DSP products and technology across multiple engineering functions and sites.

Dan comes to ADI from AMD, where as Engineering Director for a major notebook/mobile CPU, he led a global, multi-site chip design, verification and implementation team. As the leader of this team, he was part of the Product Development Core Team which had complete responsibility for the Program. Prior to joining AMD, Dan worked at Sun Microsystems as a Distinguished Engineer and had leadership responsibilities for a multi-site engineering team. He began his career as a CPU Architect with Digital Equipment Corp. Dan holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from Brown University.
