High Efficiency and Power Density

ADI digital controllers are designed to control high efficiency power supply converters with synchronous rectification and have an array of programmable features that enable users to achieve improved conversion efficiency. Higher switching frequency capability and the integration of protection features results in low component count, high density power supply solutions.

Real Time Power Metering and Optimization

All devices are I2C/PMBus compatible allowing the end user to accurately monitor power system status and make intelligent, real-time changes to optimize efficiency at system level.

Optimized and Dedicated Signal Sensing

Each signal in a power supply system has unique measurement requirements. ADI's digital controller family has dedicated ADCs tailored to the individual signal being measured providing continuous and accurate measurements for each parameter. Dedicated high speed comparators are used to provide fast response to fault conditions.

Reliable and Robust Design

The digital controller family is based on a flexible, state machine architecture with all features implemented in hardware. This results in an extremely robust and reliable solution critical in power supply applications. The devices are programmed using PMBus and manufacture specific commands. This eliminates the need for complex code programming and simplifies software qualification.

Graphical User Interface (GUI) Reduces Time-to-Market

The GUI is truly graphical and very intuitive to use. The various easy-to-use, drag and drop features accelerate the learning curve and adoption of digital controller solutions. The GUI enables the user to model the power supply system and program the values and commands required .

Digital DC-DC Controllers

The digital DC-DC Controllers are Voltage Mode Controlled and come with dedicated sensing for Input Voltage, Input Current, Output Voltage, Output Current and Temperature. The also have an on-board EEPROM to save the configuration for standalone mode operation.
