Evaluation Tools for the ADN2841
Introduction
The ADN2841 laser diode driver extends Analog Devices' family of dual-loop laser drivers to include multi-rate operation from 50 Mbps to 2.7 Gbps. This multi-rate capability enables metro and access service providers to reduce operating costs by allowing customer service change orders to be implemented by remote software commands rather than by expensive hardware modifications that require service calls. Its unique dual-loop architecture allows the driver to work with any standard monitor photo diode, while avoiding any data format limitations. Dual-loop control also enables fiber optic transmitter manufacturers to deliver consistent optical performance over a wide range of temperatures and operating conditions.
