Frequently Asked Question

What should I consider when using or selecting an output amplifier for a DDS?

The DDS DAC outputs are generally composed of two outputs, 180 degrees out of phase with each other (the true and complement). The best performance is obtained when the two signals are combined in a center-tapped RF transformer to produce a symmetrical waveform. If an amplfier is required, a differential amplifier should be used.
