The ADP3806 is a stand-alone Li-Ion battery-charging IC that combines high output voltage accuracy with precise current control to improve the performance and reduce the design complexity of Constant-Current, Constant-Voltage (CCCV) chargers. The industry’s highest end-of-voltage accuracy levels are achieved to within ±0.4% at 25ºC, ±0.6% at 5ºC to 55ºC and ±0.7% at 0ºC to 85ºC.

 |  |  | | ADI offers LED drivers for automotive and LCD-backlighting applications. Products like the AD8240, designed for automotive applications, both drive and monitor the LED assembly. The AD8240 lowers system cost by reducing the complexity associated with LED driving, includes overcurrent protection, and is available in a MSOP package. The ADM8845 charge pump is designed for driving up to six white LEDs in parallel while ensuring uniform brightness of a backlit LCD display. By individually monitoring each LED current, excellent matching performance is achieved. The ADM8845 is also designed to maximize power efficiency by switching automatically between three charge pump modes based on the input voltage.

Thus a 5 V input can be used to generate a 10 V or even 15 V output.
