The ADV202 has the following tools available to evaluate its performance (for more information, contact your local ADI distributor).
ADV202EB-HD (pdf, 245,688 bytes)
The ADV202-EB HD consists of a printed circuit board designed to demonstrate the functionality of the ADV202 video compression codec. The ADV202-EB HD accepts high definition 1080i video signals in SDI [SMPTE292M] format. It is also possible to encode/decode pixel data over the ADV202's host interface, using pixel input/output over the PCI interface. Key features include:

Alberio Platform
Alberio is a JPEG2000 video streaming evaluation/prototype platform based on the ADV202EB-HD and is suitable as a basis for software application development using the ADV202EB-HD. Alberio enables the implementation of JPEG20000 over a network environment for both still and moving images as well as incorporating other development features.
The software codec that is distributed with Alberio provides limited playback capability on the PC and also demonstrates the interoperability of the ADV202 with other software codecs. (Please note that Alberio is a tool that aids in the evaluation of the ADV202 and not intended to be a stand-alone codec.)
ADV202 ASD-P160-EB (pdf, 245,688 bytes)
The ADV202 FPGA Evaluation System contains a ADV202 daughter card on a Xilinx platform. It allows the user to evaluate the ADV202 for parameters and performance when used in a stand-alone application via switch settings on the board.

JPEG2000 VidPipe
ADV202 demonstration platform will be available in May 2004. The ADV202 VidPipe is a demonstration board to show the functionality of the ADV202 without completely depending on the PC. The ADV202 VidPipe is capable of simultaneously compressing and decompressing of video and audio signals. For price and availability, please contact: Gastager Systemtechnik or e-mail for information.
