ADMTV340:  Zero-IF Mobile TV Tuner IC for CMMB

Product Description

The ADMTV340 is a highly integrated CMOS zero-IF conversion tuner IC for CMMB (China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting) standards.

It operates from 2635 to 2660 MHz. It includes a low noise amplifier and direct conversion down mixers. On-chip low phase noise VCO along with high resolution fractional-N-frequency synthesizer makes in-band phase noise low enough for CMMB applications.

Automatic tuned baseband channel select filters are available with automatic tuning. The ADMTV340 also includes high dynamic range baseband variable gain amplifier. A low noise amplifier and optimized gain control scheme enable wide dynamic range operation.

The ADMTV340 consumes less than 150 mW. Power down function reduces the standby mode current consumption for power hungry systems. Using small leadless 5 mm × 5 mm 32-lead LFCSP, the ADMTV340 is the best solution for portable CMMB application especially for mobile phone, notebook PC, PDA, and etc. where low power consumption is critical. It has a standard SPI serial bus interface.

Applications

  • CMMB mobile phones
  • Portable satellite DMB receivers: notebook PC, PDA, and portable multimedia terminals
  • CMMB receiver for vehicular application
    • Operating frequency range 2635 ~ 2660 MHz
    • Wide dynamic range
    • Low power consumption: 150 mW
    • Channel select filter for adjacent channel rejection: 65 dB at 8 MHz
    • 20-bit Σ-Δ fractional-N PLL exhibits 72 Hz fine frequency resolution
    • On-chip low phase noise VCO eliminates external tank circuits
    • No external capacitors to remove DC-offset
    • Ideal for portable application such as mobile phone, notebook PC, and PDA
    • SPI interface
    • Small 32-lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP) (5 mm × 5 mm)
