AD5398

Introducing Analog Devices' new lens driver chip, the AD5398, is designed for next-generation camera-enabled cell phones that offer a range of functionality, such as auto-focus, optical zoom and image stabilization.

This lens driver chip provides the industry's smallest, lowest cost solution for driving lens auto-focus applications in camera phones – one of the fastest-growing segments of the cellular phone market. The AD5398 addresses handset and camera phone designers' critical need for highly-integrated drivers that enable significant space and cost reduction.

  • Fully integrated:
    - Current Sensing Resistor (3.3ohms)
    - Reference
    - Power-On Reset
  • Low Voltage Battery operation:
    - 2.5V – 5.5V
    - (unregulated)
  • Inductive Fly-back Protection diodes
  • 10-bit control
  • 8-lead LFCSP: 3 x 3 mm
  • Power Down: 80 nA
  • I2C interface – SPI TBD...
