Featurephone / Smartphone
Featurephones and smartphones include both voice and data capabilities, with multimedia (audio/video/camera), games and advanced user interfaces. The multimedia processing may be performed in the baseband processor (i.e., Analog Devices’ SoftFone platform) or in a separate multimedia coprocessor. Smartphones include an application processor running a high-level operating system, and can use SoftFone chipsets for the communications functions.
