Current-Output AD565 Has Internal Buried-Zener Reference; Monotonic Over Temperature; Settling Time Less Than 400ns

The technological triumph introduced elsewhere in these pages, the 12-bit AD574 2-chip successive-approximation a/d converter, would not be possible without the AD565 12-bit monolithic DAC chip. The AD565 is a complete current-output 12-bit d/a converter, with 200ns (400ns max) settling time to within ±1/2 LSB. Read full article

Dave designed medical electronic equipment before joining Analog Devices in 1972 as an IC designer. Over the years, he has been involved in analog chip design, wafer fabrication engineering, and new product development and management. Dave has been instrumental in bringing to market many new products and platforms focused on innovation and enabling new application areas. For many years, Dave led ADI’s technical support team. He earned both his BSEE and MSEE from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. For many years David led ADI's technical support team, and he is currently the Director of Technical Marketing.
